How do I edit my profile?

Looking to update your personal information on Roomlala? It is quick and easy. Here is where to find each setting and how to change it.

Access your profile

Log in to your account, open your personal space, and then go to the Profile section. Everything is managed from the menu on the left, where each section groups a specific type of information.

What you can edit

Several sections allow you to keep your account up to date:

• Profile: your title, first name, last name, year of birth, address, languages spoken, as well as your e-mail address and password.
• Photo: add or change your profile picture to make your account more welcoming and reassuring.
• Verifications: have your e-mail, mobile phone, and identity verified by uploading an ID document. Your number is only shared in the event of a confirmed booking, and your identity documents remain confidential.
• Bank details: provide your bank details to receive your rent via bank transfer. This information is confidential and secure.
• Settings: manage your e-mail and SMS notifications, newsletters and Roomlala offers, as well as your billing information.

Edit your first or last name

As long as your identity is not verified, you can freely edit your first name and last name in the Profile section.

Once your identity is verified, these two fields are locked and the message "Identity verified - changes impossible" is displayed. This is normal: your first name and last name must match your ID document exactly.

Why this rule? On Roomlala, hosts and tenants trust each other even before they meet. Guaranteeing that each name matches a real and verified identity protects the entire community against fake identities and fraud. This is what allows everyone to book or host with complete peace of mind.

Saving your changes

Good news: your changes are saved automatically as soon as you leave a field. There is no button to click to confirm.

A complete and verified profile inspires more trust in other members. The more detailed your profile is, the higher your trust level increases, which improves your chances of receiving booking requests or positive replies.
