Room in a private home or intergenerational cohabitation (Tours - 37000)

The Youth and Housing Association has developed two main initiatives:

1. Intergenerational Solidarity Cohabitation (CIS), which aims to connect a senior citizen over 60 with a young person under 30.
2. Temporary Home Stay Accommodation (HTH), which facilitates accommodation between a person of any age and a young person under 30.

These initiatives are regulated by the 2018 Elan Law, which imposes specific requirements regarding accommodation conditions, pricing, etc.

Our initiatives benefit from the support of two major national networks: Cohabilis, the leading intergenerational cohabitation network, and UNHAJ, a network recognized for its commitment for over 60 years.

As for the CIS, we rely on the support of various financial institutions, including the DDETS (Department of Social Welfare), the Centre-Val de Loire Region, AVEC (Val de Loire Regional Office), Tours Métropole, the CAF (Family Allowance Fund), CARSAT (Carsat), the University of Tours, and the CROUS (French Social Welfare Agency).
